Open Golf Rentals – Calling all landlords in St Andrews.

As many of you may already be aware, one of the biggest events is soon happening in one of our beautiful and historic neighbouring towns, St Andrews.

Yes, the Open Golf Championship on the Old course from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th July 2010

Destiny Scotland is soon launching www.opengolfrentals.com to accommodate the thousands of visitors and players streaming to St Andrews for this event.

We are currently looking for landlords to advertise their properties on our site. So if you own property in St. Andrews or know of anyone who has property there, please get in contact with us to advertise your property. Our rates are competitive at a mere 10% commission plus VAT.

Any properties close to the Old Course would be great but if you have a property in St Andrews, please get in touch with us and we will let you know whether it will be suitable to rent out for the Open Golf in 2010.

It is free to list your property on our website so please don’t wait to get in touch.

Let’s celebrate 150 years of the Open at St Andrews together with good company, excellent golf and that bit of extra money in our pockets.

The Free Fringe Festival - the return of spontaniety.

Free Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival

Arguably, the real, original fun of the Edinburgh Fringe lies in spontaneity. Picture this: while wandering aimlessly down the Royal Mile you are accosted by a man in 16th century period dress pointing you towards his comedy on Sir Walter Raleigh at the underbelly, on the way you are given a leaflet to go to a silent movie atop Carlton Hill, live, and complete with a 22 peace orchestra. You couldn’t make it up.

Edinburgh weathering out the Credit Crunch

How Scotland’s Capital continues to Thrive!

The City of Edinburgh is increasingly well known for being both a financial institution and a global tourism hotspot. These industries have continued to see growth despite the ‘credit crunch’.

Edinburgh continues to be considered a key centre for financial growth and has proven to be an ideal city for a business to develop, both on the high street, with up and coming chains such as Urban Outfitters opening up alongside old favourites like Primark, and in the business sector - the headquarters of Tesco Personal Finance, attracted to the Nation’s Capital, recently relocated to Haymarket, creating two hundred jobs.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival Ticket Sales 2009

How the Fringe just keeps getting Better

During 2009 the Edinburgh Festival Fringe ticket sales hit a record high of more than 1.85m tickets sold for the event; a sales increase of 9% from the previous year. The reason for this surge in sales is because many people decided to holiday in the UK rather than going on holidays abroad due to the recession. For many 2009 was the best festival in 20 years.
